UK falling behind in the crypto race

? Former UK Chancellor George Osborne has sharply criticized the British government’s lack of progress in the crypto space. According to Osborne, the UK is falling behind the US, EU, and Asia in both regulation and innovation.

“We’re missing the chance to lead in crypto. While others are moving fast, we’re standing still,” Osborne said during a recent business forum.

He emphasized that the UK lacks a clear, strategic approach to digital assets, while other regions are already implementing regulatory frameworks and investing heavily in blockchain initiatives.

Osborne urged the government to step up its efforts if the UK wants to maintain its status as a global financial hub.

⚠️ Experts warn the UK could lose its status as a global financial hub unless it catches up in the crypto space.
