🤖 Figure 03 is a third-generation humanoid robot capable of performing a variety of household and commercial tasks. Its functions include pouring coffee, clearing the table, washing clothes, loading the dishwasher, and performing other routine operations. This range of actions makes Figure 03 a versatile assistant that can significantly ease daily life and free up time for more important or enjoyable tasks.

The robot is covered with a special washable fabric that can be easily wiped with a cloth, providing convenience for maintenance and cleanliness. The design focuses on safety and practicality in home settings, while its reduced weight and soft coating make it as safe as possible for households.

From Prototype to Mass Production

The American company Figure AI optimized Figure 03 for mass production at the new BotQ facility, integrating its proprietary Helix AI platform. Production already plans to release about 12,000 robots next year, with a long-term goal of 100,000 machines over the next four years.

To transition from expensive prototypes to mass production, the company redesigned almost every component. Metal and plastic casting technologies are used instead of CNC machines, significantly reducing costs. A vertical integration strategy is applied: Figure AI controls all stages of the production cycle, and the design model is oriented for mass production. This addresses the scalability challenge faced by the entire industry.

The robot’s software foundation is its proprietary Helix AI platform, fully developed in-house after discontinuing OpenAI services in February 2025. Helix combines vision, language processing, and action functions, enabling the robot to learn in real time and adapt to its environment.

• Vision system: frame rate doubled, latency reduced by three-quarters, camera field of view increased by 60%. Cameras in the palms help the robot navigate tight spaces and handle small objects.
• Tactile sensors: sensitive down to the weight of a paperclip, providing precise control when handling fragile or irregular objects.
• Audio system: enhanced for home use, ensuring quiet and unobtrusive operation.
• Power supply: built-in wireless inductive charging allows the robot to recharge itself up to 2 kW.

Commercial Version and Industrial Capabilities

For commercial applications, Figure 03 is equipped with more powerful drives with higher torque density and accelerated limbs. It can move objects faster and handle a wide range of items, including complex objects such as plastic bags.

A mmWave data transfer system at speeds up to 10 Gbps allows the robot to exchange terabytes of information with other machines and learn collectively, creating a “fleet of intelligent robots.” This makes Figure 03 ideal not only for homes but also for industrial or commercial tasks requiring precision, speed, and reliability.
