Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has launched a large-scale campaign for International Women’s Day as part of its global Blockchain4Her initiative, aimed at expanding women’s participation in the blockchain industry and digital economy. The project combines online and offline formats and is positioned as a long-term contribution to building a more inclusive Web3 ecosystem.
At the core of the campaign lies the conceptual question: “How can mass adoption be achieved without women?” In this way, the company highlights the structural problem of gender imbalance in the technology and financial sectors. Despite the rapid development of the crypto market and the growth in the number of digital asset users, the share of women in the industry remains significantly lower than that of men — especially in technical and management roles.

As part of the initiative, the exchange is launching a social media video campaign dedicated to overcoming gender bias in Web3. Entrepreneurs, developers, investors, and opinion leaders are invited to participate, share personal experiences, discuss barriers they have faced, and present practical cases of building inclusive structures in the crypto industry. According to the organizers, public discussion should not only draw attention to the problem but also form a sustainable agenda where diversity is viewed as a growth factor rather than a formal topic.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen emphasized that large market players bear special responsibility for creating equal opportunities: according to her, even a small step from the industry can influence the long-term transformation of the financial sector. The company views support for women not as a one-time PR campaign but as a strategic direction for brand and ecosystem development.
An additional element of the campaign will be the release of a limited-edition card in partnership with Bitget Wallet. Cardholders will be able to make payments via Mastercard and Visa systems in more than 50 countries across Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region. Thus, the company combines a symbolic occasion — March 8 — with a practical tool for using digital assets in everyday payments.

Special attention is given to the offline format. Continuing the previously introduced Lady Forward concept, Bitget will hold a series of meetings across Southeast and East Asia, Europe, CIS countries, and Latin America. The program includes educational workshops, networking sessions, panel discussions with industry representatives, and mentoring meetings for beginners. The organizers focus on practical experience exchange and building professional communities capable of supporting participants even after the campaign ends.
The Blockchain4Her initiative reflects a broader trend within the crypto industry — the transition from a narrow professional environment to a mass market. Amid increasing competition, exchanges are investing not only in technological solutions but also in social projects that can expand the user base and strengthen trust in the industry. In this context, supporting women is viewed as an important element of sustainable growth and long-term legitimization of the digital asset market.
Thus, Bitget’s International Women’s Day campaign combines educational, social, and marketing components. It aims to form a more balanced Web3 ecosystem where women’s participation becomes not an exception, but a natural part of industry development.
