? Meta has launched a new generation of smart glasses — Ray-Ban Display, personally showcased by the company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg (presentation link: YouTube). These are Meta’s first “smart glasses” with a fully integrated display, taking wearable technology to a new level by combining augmented reality (AR), neurotechnology, and the familiar Ray-Ban design.

Key features of Meta Ray-Ban Display:

Lens Display:

  • Refresh rate: 90 Hz, ensuring smooth animation and comfortable AR content perception.

  • Brightness: 5000 nits, allowing use even in bright sunlight.
  • Resolution: 600×600 pixels per eye — sufficient for displaying AR holograms, maps, and notifications.

AR and Interaction:

  • AR hologram support: video calls, real-time speech translation, mini-maps, and navigation directly in the user’s field of view, similar to video game interfaces like GTA.

  • Gesture control: comes with the Meta Neural Band bracelet, which reads hand muscle activity and converts it into commands for the glasses.

Cameras and Audio:

  • The system of cameras, speakers, and microphones remains at the level of the previous Ray-Ban Smart Glasses model, allowing you to take photos, record videos, and communicate on calls without using a smartphone.

Battery Life and Charging:

  • Up to 6 hours of active use.
  • Up to 30 hours of operation with the portable charging case, making the glasses convenient for long trips and workdays.

Sales Launch Date and Price:

  • Sales begin on September 30, 2025.
  • Price — $799, making it affordable for a wide audience given its innovative features.

⚡ Conclusion:

Meta Ray-Ban Display combines the familiar Ray-Ban style with advanced AR and neural control technologies. It’s not just an accessory but a full-fledged platform for communication, entertainment, and productivity, showcasing the direction in which the future of wearable devices is heading.
