🤖 Google has unveiled Nano Banana Pro — an updated image generation model that significantly raises the bar for quality and contextual understanding.

The company released a new version of its visual generation tool, built on Gemini 3 Pro. The main idea is a shift from “images for the sake of images” to full professional design, where AI can understand tasks more deeply and work with real-time data via Google Search.

According to Google, Nano Banana Pro has become much better at rendering text directly within images. This isn’t just about pretty letters, but correct reproduction of paragraphs, various fonts, calligraphy, and multilingual text. Essentially, this is the first model that confidently handles both short slogans and complex text blocks.

can take real-time facts into account. If you need to create infographics based on weather, sports results, or educational data — it does so relying on information from Google Search. As a result, images have become “smarter” and more accurate, especially in topics where factual accuracy is important.

Photorealism has also reached a new level. Details, lighting, shadows, reflections, textures — everything looks noticeably more realistic. Artistic tools have been added as well: studio lighting, effects like bokeh, focus adjustments, local edits of individual elements, and work with colors and compositions. Generation is now also available in 2K and 4K.

Google also highlights improvements in handling people in the frame. The model confidently renders up to five faces at once, maintaining naturalness and individuality. It also supports blending up to fourteen source images — a handy tool for layouts, collages, and presentations.

Access to Nano Banana Pro will be rolled out gradually. The Gemini app already has a tab for creating images in “reasoning” mode. Free accounts will have limited capabilities, while expanded quotas are available for Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscriptions. The model will appear in AI Mode in Search, in NotebookLM, and in Google’s business products — Google Ads, Workspace, Vertex AI, Antigravity, and more.

A strong emphasis is placed on transparency: all generated images include an invisible digital watermark, SynthID, and regular users will also see a visible Gemini Sparkle mark.

🔍Recall that as early as September 2025, the Nano Banana editor became a growth driver for the Gemini app, increasing downloads by 45 percent and pushing it to first place in the App Store. It seems the new version continues this trend, turning Google’s visual tools into a fully professional product.
