Entrepreneur Elon Musk, known not only for his rockets and electric cars but also for his bold statements about free speech, has unveiled Grokipedia — an open-source online encyclopedia fully managed by the artificial intelligence Grok. The new project is described as an independent alternative to Wikipedia, with an ambitious goal — “facts without filters.”
Version 0.1 is now live. Version 1.0 will be ten times better, but even at 0.1, Musk says, it’s already better than Wikipedia.
