Dangerous Windows 11 Update

⚠️ Our editorial team found a short but alarming piece of information online and immediately shares it with our readers. Could it be fake? God forbid… But let’s try to figure it out, as the situation is serious — the update can cause irreversible damage, so caution is mandatory.

The latest Windows 11 update (KB5034765), which was supposed to fix existing issues, instead triggers critical crashes and may “kill” hard drives, causing numerous complaints and severe failures among users worldwide.

Main issues:

  1. Explorer and explorer.exe crashes:
    • on restart or shutdown, explorer.exe may crash;
    • frequent error messages, freezes, inability to open folders or files;
    • sometimes Explorer stops responding entirely, blocking file access.
  2. SSD and HDD problems:
    • reports indicate the update can cause failures and partial data loss on solid-state drives;
    • older SSD models and high-disk-load systems are especially vulnerable.
  3. Installation errors:
    • error codes 0x800f0922, 0x800f0982, and 0x80070002;
    • the update may hang or fail, requiring manual removal and reinstallation.
  4. System crashes and compatibility:
    • possible RAM issues, freezes when using Alt+Tab;
    • built-in cameras may stop working, Bluetooth and sound failures;
    • game sessions may experience Task Manager crashes.

Attempts to fix:

  • Using DISM and SFC to repair system files often doesn’t help.
  • Some users bypass the issue by deleting the hidden $WinREAgent folder.
  • Others try system restore points or rolling back updates.

User recommendations:

  1. Check updates: make sure KB5034765 is actually installed.
  2. Backup: especially important data on SSDs.
  3. Follow news: look for workarounds and official patches.
  4. Contact Microsoft support: if crashes are critical, especially if file access is lost.

Conclusion: until Microsoft releases a fix, installing KB5034765 is extremely risky — data loss and serious system failures are possible. Do not update. Warn others.
